Cancellations and refunds
A short summary of how to cancel your hosting and where to find the refund policy.
This page is a short summary. The Refund Policy is the official document, and it applies if there is any difference: chvex.com/p/refund-policy.
Refund in short#
A new order has a 7-day refund on the first payment. See the policy for the full conditions, what is covered and what is not.
How to cancel#
Because renewals are invoice-based, you are not charged automatically. If you do not want to continue, you can simply not pay the next renewal invoice. The service will then reach the end of its paid period and be suspended under our Terms of Service.
If you want to cancel earlier or want a clear record of your cancellation, open a ticket from the client area and tell us:
- the domain or service you want to cancel;
- the date you want it to end.
Before you cancel#
- Download your backups. Once the service ends, your files and databases may be deleted. See Backups and restoring.
- Move your email to a new provider if you use mailboxes on this hosting.
- Update your domain so it points to your new hosting. Your domain registration is separate from hosting, so cancelling hosting does not cancel your domain.
Requesting a refund#
If you think you qualify under the Refund Policy, open a ticket and include:
- your invoice number;
- the date you ordered;
- a short reason.
We will reply in the ticket and tell you the outcome and next steps.
Questions?#
If something in the policy is unclear, ask us in a ticket before you order or cancel. See Contact support.
